Connecticut Gov. Daniel Malloy announced on Monday that KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm, is bringing an estimated 110 jobs over the next five years in a brand new Stamford Office on Washington Boulevard.

Malloy said that the company recently signed a long-term lease and plan to renovate the space in advance of opening up next spring.

KPMG has had a presence in Stamford for nearly four decades and currently employs 315 people at its location at their base on 3001 Summer Street. The firm’s Hartford office has 231 employees.

“We look forward next year to moving into newly-renovated space that will have state-of-the-art technology and workspace to allow our highly-skilled professionals to deliver a best-in-class experience for our Stamford-area clients,” Bob Garrett, KPMG managing partner for a region that includes New York City, Stamford, Long Island and northern New Jersey, said.

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development has issued KPMG with a $3 million grant for “leasehold improvements, equipment, and other project-related costs. Portions of the grant will be released when certain job creation milestones are met.”

“KPMG’s commitment to growing its operations and creating jobs in Connecticut is a testament to our top-notch workforce and unbeatable quality of life,” Malloy added. “It is an encouraging sign that world-class companies are continually choosing to set up or expand operations in our state.”
